Sangat condemns brutal killing; demands probe

JAMMU, Oct 22: Expressing deep concern over the failure of the authorities and the Government of Jammu and Kashmir in protecting innocent lives, Kashmir Singh Sangat in a meeting has termed the killing of S Kanwalnain Singh, S/o late Sumair Singh of Singhpora, Baramulla recently by some miscreants, not only gruesome, brutal or barbaric but also satanic.
Dr Dhanwant Singh, chairman KSS and Manjit Singh, president while showing deep resentment over the brutal act asserted that the on spot details of the incident revealed that the Police authorities present there failed to take any measures to prevent the happening.
Demanding tough action against the culprits, the organization has appealed Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah to order an enquiry in the matter at an earliest, so that the culprits are booked under law and justice is delivered to the family of the martyr.
The organization also appealed to the Human Rights Organisation and other agencies to go into the philosophy of things and look into the matter seriously and raise voice over the issue in the interest of peace and communal harmony.
Meanwhile, Women Wing of KSS in a separate meeting also condemned the brutal killing.
The meeting among others was attended by KN Singh, Babu Singh, Karamjit Singh, TP Singh, Balbir Singh, Kanwalnain Singh, Gurwant Singh, S JB Singh and S Jagjit Singh.
