Panegyrical environment rejuvenated her and now she was ready to satiate her thirst by participating in ‘Miss International India’ (Senorita India) but had to satisfy herself with first runnerup tag. Her experience and performance at ‘Miss International India brought forth her deligence, dedication, commitment and tenacity in her profession and then she decided proliferation of her modelling character at fbb colors Femina Miss India 2017 and here she proved her mettle to the modelling industry and was crowned fbb colors Femina Miss India Jammu & Kashmir 2017. She has made our state proud with this achievement. And now she is all set to give a tough fight in the Grand Finale of fbb color Femina Miss India 2017 in Mumbai.
Sana Dua introduced herself during the exclusive interview as a girl who wants to step out from her comfort zone, explore herself everyday and wants to touch the sky but be rooted to ground. She talked on wide range of topics from social constrains associated to fixed tenure of this profession. Sana Dua is very clear in her thoughts and said, “It is not a failure if we don’t make it but our participation and positive attitude will groom our character and this approach has helped me a lot in grooming myself in the past two years, so participation is more important to grow.” At the same time she stressed that one should always be ready with his/her plan B due to uncertainty of options and other factors.
On the issue of fixed tenure or life span of a model in this profession Sana Dua said, “Honestly I am focusing on the first inning right now and I do not know what life has stored for me in the future, things may absolutely change tomorrow but I am positive, happy and ready to accept my future and will continue love life the way it comes to me.”
On disdainful attitude of society towards modelling as a profession, she felt that demur and hesitancy graph has come down with reverence and respect rising high for this field.
Sana Dua categorically rejected the loathful view of people who consider this profession only a muscle beauty exhibition and said, “It took me two years to reach where I am today and during this phase of hardwork and self exploration I have realized and accepted that emotional stability is the bottomline for this profession and this strength comes only when you have control on your nerves. The famous adage that ‘if you fall seven times get up eighth’ turns true only when your mental arena is cool, confident and this will strike a winning stroke to conquer everything.”
In order to achieve her goal, when asked about help being received or offered from any corner she praised her parents and peers who offered her unconditional support all through her ups and downs. At the same time, Sana appealed the State Government and other concerned agencies to come forward in order to promote and publicise such events so that youth of this state get a chance to explore their hidden talents.
Regarding acceptance of Modelling in J&K Sana said, “The youth here is very talented and now is making its presence felt at national and international levels in various fields but I agree that options and opportunities are less in J&K as compared to other states which obviously needs to be looked into and from the past few years the graph of modelling is rising high here, so it is a good sign for bright future of youth of the state.”
On presence of few women in modelling from J&K, Sana opined that there should be more opportunities available in the state and women should come out, participate and contribute but it’s a great irony that majority hesitates to come out to take the pain of going outside. It would be better to create opportunities first in our own state and at the same time people are required to come out of their shell by shedding fallacious, fictitious opinions about the profession they are choosing to make a dent in.”
Sana Dua while giving importance to innate and acquired parameters required for this profession said, “If I can do it, you can do it, so don’t underestimate yourself at any moment but keep in mind that if you are heading towards this industry keep prepared your plan B and be patient because good things always take time to happen.”
So, this rising star Sana Dua is now all set to represent Jammu & Kashmir in Grand Finale of fbb Colors Femina Miss India 2017 in Mumbai in near future. Therefore every state, non-state and concerned organizations should come forward to encourage all these kind of talents so that our youth never get drowned with negativity and never ever should feel neglected, isolated and dejected. Come forward to support such minds so that the future our youth and state is prosperous, peaceful and pleasant.
