Samba wins Inter-District Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament

JAMMU, Sept 28: Defeating District Kathua convincingly in the title clash, District Samba won the Division Level Inter-District Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament at Sports Stadium, here today.
The Tournament is being held under the chairmanship of Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu, Madan Lal and under overall supervision of DYSSO Kathua, Subash Chander Bhardwaj.
Rajesh Kumar is the organizing secretary.
Kathua choose to field after winning the toss.
Put into bat, Samba scored 131 runs in stipulated 20 overs. Sumit Sharma of Samba scored 42 runs in 28 balls with the help of 7 boundaries, while Kunal Sharma contributed 28 runs in 37 balls with 3 boundaries. Amit Jasrotia of Kathua clinched 2 wickets in 3 overs by giving away 13 runs.
While chasing the target, Kathua made 99 runs in 13 overs. Vivek Verma and Rajat added 20 runs each in 17 and 10 balls respectively. Kathua lost the match by 32 runs.
Sumit Sharma of Samba was declared as man of the match.
Today’s event was officiated by Kulbhushan Singh and Vikas Gupta while Rakesh Devi and Kajal Premi were the scorers.
Parbhat Singh,  Kuldeep Singh, Mohan Lal, Jaipal Singh, Ashok Magotra, Omkar Nath and Sanjeev Sunny coordinated the event.
