JAMMU, Nov 29: District Police Samba organised Sports Mela at District Police Lines Samba under Civic Action Programme which was inaugurated by Anil Magotra, SSP Samba in presence of Additional SP Samba, DySP Hqrs. Samba, SDPO Vijaypur/Bari Brahmana, DySP Operarions Samba and DySP DAR DPL Samba.
On the inaugural day, many events were held in which the players (both boys and girls) from Govt. and Private schools from across the District Samba took part with great enthusiasm and the events were witnessed by a large number of spectators. These events are being played in a professional manner under the supervision of trained persons (referees) in their respective fields.
In the inaugural match of Volleyball (Boys), MV International Vijaypur defeated KP Samba by 2-0 sets.
The Police Sports Mela will run for 15 days in which various others sports events will be held.
At the conclusion of inaugural function of the said Sports Mela, SSP Samba paid special thanks to District Sports Officer Samba, CEO and Principals of different educational institutions, trained sportspersons supervising the event.
