Samba police solves theft case, arrests 3

SAMBA, Nov 11: The District Police Samba today solved out a theft case and recovered stolen property from his hideout.
Acting on the written report lodged on November 7 at P/S Samba by one person namely Parveen Singh S/o Saudhgar Mal of Samba, who complained about the theft of tyres of his parked vehicle Scorpio near Hari Singh Chowk, Samba during the intervening night of October 28 and 29.
A case FIR No. 248/17 U/S 379 RPC was registered at PS Samba in this regard and investigation started.
All the nakas across district Samba were alerted accordingly and on November 11 during vehicle checking at Mansar Morh naka point one red coloured Scorpio bearing registration No. JK02AC-8000 coming from Mansar to Samba in suspicious condition was intercepted which was driven by one Rakesh Singh S/o Kesar Singh along with his two associates namely Rahul Singh, S/o Romesh Singh and Vipin Singh S/o Subash Chander all R/o Billawar district Kathua.
After sustained interrogation, all the three persons confessed their involvements in the theft of stolen tyres and batteries during the said intervening night from Hari Singh Chowk Samba. A total recoveries of three tyres of Scorpio vehicle, two batteries, one cylinder and two gallons filled with 20 liters fuel were recovered from their possession.
All the three accused were arrested and more recoveries from them cannot be ruled out. The whole operation was carried out by Police Party of P/S Samba headed by SHO Samba Inspector, Yash Paul under the direct supervision of  Tanveer Ahmed Dy. SP Hqrs Samba and under the directions of SSP Samba,  Anil Magotra, KPS.
