Samba police arrests drug peddlers

SAMBA, Mar 14: Samba Police has seized 30 grams of Ganja and 500 grams of poppy straw from a youth of Sour during at a naka today.
According to Police a team of Samba Police headed by ASI of Samba Police Station, Mohan Lal during a naka duty at Sumb road (Samba) while frisking a suspicious youth recovered Ganja weighing 30 gram and poppy straw weighing 500 gram from his possession.
He was identified as Anil Kumar S/o Ludhar Mani R/o Sour tehsil and district Samba. In this regard a case FIR No 47/17 U/S  8/15/20/21 NDPS ACT has been registered at P/S Samba. The accused persons have been arrested and investigation into the case has been taken up. The whole operation was conducted under the supervision of SHO Samba, DySP HQRS Samba and overall supervision of SSP Samba.
Meanwhile police seized 18 pouches of country made liquor of 250 ml and 15 pouches of country made liquor of 180 ml and three bottles of liquor from Govinda S/o Bishan R/O Dhobi Keri Madhya Pardesh A/P SIDCO Phase 1 Samba.
The liquor was seized by a Police Party  at 1745 Hrs today headed by ASI Dhian Singh at Border road Samba. In this regard case FIR NO 48/17 U/S 48 Excise Act has been registered and investigation into the case was taken up. The whole operation was conducted under the supervision of SHO Samba/DYSP HQRS Samba and overall supervision of SSP Samba.
