SAMBA, Apr 11: Defeating their rivals convincingly in the summit clashes, Samba Zone boys and Ghagwal zone girls won title trophies in Under-19 age group of the ongoing ‘Let’s Play’ Football Tournament, being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, here.
In Under-19 boys, Samba Zone got the better of Purmandal Zone by two goals to one (2-1), while in Under-19 girls, Ghagwal Zone trounced Purmandal Zone by two goals to nil (2-0).
Earlier, the tournament was declared open by DySP Samba, Bihari Lal Bharadwaj at Sports Stadium Samba.
140 boys and 70 girls are taking part in this tournament which is being held under the overall supervision of Sunil Kumar, District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Samba.
