MENDHAR, Mar 17: Outplaying Mendhar Club by (3-1) sets in the summit clash, Salwah Club lifted the title trophy of the Volleyball Tournament, organized by Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police (JKAP) 6th Battalion at Bhera, here today.
Commandant 6th Battalion, P K Sharma was the chief guest on the valedictory function, while DySP 6th Battalion, Shahjaan Ahmed was the guest of honour. The chief guest and the guest of honour distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams on the occasion.
The dignitaries also presented best media coverage award to Daily Excelsior reporter Mendhar, MS Nazki on the occasion. Media persons Nazim Manhas and Rahi Kapoor were also awarded on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sharma spoke on the importance of games and sports in the one’s life and said that sports help in developing various skills.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Usman Ahmed, Fareed Ahmed Khan, Ajay Koul and Sanjeev Bali.
