A moment of joyous satisfaction that Salal Power Station has been selected as the “Best Rated Power Station” among all the power stations of NHPS Limited for the year 2017-18. This has been possible under the auspices of its General Manager and his team. The award was recently given away by R. K. Singh, Union Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy at Faridabad.
These awards are symptomatic of the recognition of good and sustained efforts put in by the leadership and the team of power stations to have better operational efficiency with minimum wastages and leaks as also measures to have cost controls. This can also prove as an incentive to other power stations that could compete with one another in achieving excellent operational efficiencies and performance which ultimately percolate down to the consumers’ facilities and utilities.
The team of Salal is entitled to all the credit for this achievement as since the current management headed by Himanshu Shekhar took over, this power station has achieved number of milestones like generating 720 MW against the installed capacity of 690 MW since commissioning in the month of July 2018. We wish Salal to achieve more and more milestones of excellence and hopefully expect other power stations too to do and perform in the same way.
