BANIHAL, Sept 16: National Conference (NC) candidate for Banihal, Sajjad Shaheen today concluded a week-long extensive tour of flood and landslide hit areas of Banihal Assembly Constituency and took stock of the damages caused to residential houses, infrastructure and standing crops.
Shaheen visited Neel, Ukharhal, Batroo, Khari , Trigam, Kacharbass, Ahma, Kumbla, Buzla, Tragan, Kawna, Chapnari, Danar, Nowgam, Tethar, Chamalwas, Chudwas and other areas, interacted with the people and asserted the commitment of Omar led Government to provide the sufferers all necessary assistance.
He urged the administration to carry out survey of the affected areas so that the affected population is adequately compensated. He also sought immediate release of compensation in favour of the kin of those killed in the natural calamity.
