REASI, Oct 17: Safaik-aramcharis today struck work and held protest demonstration and dharna outside Reasi Municipal Committee office.
The Safairkaramchari Union leader said that on Tuesday where BJP state president Ravinder Raina came for the inauguration of party office , Kuldeep Raj Dubey BJP district president slapped a safaikaramchari namely Bittu for unknown reasons. The protestors said they will suspend the protest only after BJP District president seek apology from the employee whom he slapped.
When contacted Kuldeep Raj Dubey said that he has not slapped anybody. He had just scolded the worker for not doing his duty property. Heaps of garbage have scattered everywhere in Reasi town as the workers have struck their job.
They all are sitting on dharna. It is pertinent to mention here that MC Reasi EO’s post is lying vacant from last more than 5 months and currently EO Katra is given the charge of EO Reasi.
When contacted Director Urban Local Bodies Jammu, Rajinder Singh Tara said that he will look into the matter and resolve issue shortly.
