UDHAMPUR, Aug 11: Highlighting their long pending demands, members of Safai Karamchari Union Udhampur today held a strong protest demonstration against Municipal Committee Udhampur.
The Safai Karamcharis assembled in front of the office of Municipal Committee Udhampur and staged a dharna there amidst raising of slogans in support of their demands.
They were demanding regularization of Daily Wagers and recruitment of more Safai Karamcharis as shortage of the same was hampering work.
The protest was held under the leadership of Dabid and Mohamed Yousaf, who alleged that despite repeated reminders to the administration, there was no action on their demands.
