JAMMU, May 29: F C Bhagat, Deputy Commissioner (Retd) was elected as president and Manohar Lal as general secretary of All J&K Sadguru Kabir Sabha in the election which concluded today under the supervision of Election cell of the Sabha headed by Prof Ashok Bhagat at Kabir Mandir, Janipur. F C Bhagat was re-elected as president of the Sabha for consecutively 2nd time.
After declaration of the result, a general meeting of the Bhagat community was convened at Kabir Mandir Janipur under the chairmanship of Ex-minister, Mula Ram, where various issues for the welfare of the community were discussed and appropriate decision taken.
The new president F C Bhagat gave his vote of thanks to the whole Bhagat community which restored its faith & trust and gave the responsibility for 2nd time as president of the Sabha. While addressing other important issues Bhagat appealed to all other social organisations working for the welfare of the backward communities to keep a cordial relation among each other so as work out the modalities for the upliftment of the downtrodden.
F C Bhagat nominated other office bearers of the Sabha and declared the present structure consisting of Mula Ram (Ex-Minister) as chief patron, Bhushan Lal Dogra as VC of SC Advisory Board and J L Bhagat as patrons,  G L Bhagat as Senior Vice President, Prof Ashok Bhagat, Madan Lal,  Chaman Lal and Dr Buti Ram as vice presidents, Gurbachan Bhagat, (CAO Retd) as Accounts Committee Head along with Babu Ram and Ravinder Bhagat as members, Bishan Lal, Sain Dass, Yash Pal and Subhash Bhagat as secretaries, Dr Gurdass Bhagat as Chairman of the litigation cell.
The Sabha also constituted two advisory committees headed by Dr K C Bhagat, Chairman of Retd officers and  O P Bhagat, (KAS), Chairman of in-service officers.
The President of the Sabha also dissolved all the district and block bodies as also all Kabir Mandir Committees and announced that the new bodies would be in place by the ending July 2016. However the present district and block committees would function as care taker bodies till the election process is completed.
