SAD delegation meets Badal, raises issues of J&K Sikhs

JAMMU, Mar 6: A delegation of J&K unit of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) comprising of Jathedar Mohinder Singh (State president), today met Party president, Sukhbir Singh Badal at his Delhi residence and apprised him of various issues being faced by Sikh community in J&K.
The delegation which was led by Manjinder Singh Sirsa, general secretary, DSGMC and MLA Delhi, had a detailed discussion on the issues pertaining to Sikh community in the State of J&K, the problems/discrimination faced by the minority Sikh community of the border State and finally steps needed to strengthen the party in Jammu and Kashmir.
The main issues raised during the meeting were exclusion of Sikh youth of Kashmir valley in the Prime Minister’s employment package for non-migrant Kashmiri Pandits, implementation of Anand Marriage Act in the State setting up of Minority Commission in the State and deprivation of Sikh community. Finally it was resolved that Sukhbir Singh Badal along with parliament members of SAD and Manjinder Singh Sirsa will shortly visit the State to take up all the issues with the Chief Minister of J&K.
