R S PURA, Apr 13: Indian Style Dangal-cum-Kushti, Rustam-e-Baisakhi Dangal 2017, was organized by R.S Pura Indian Style Wrestling Association and Baisakhi Committee, here today.
MLA RS Pura, Dr Gagan Bhagat inaugurated the event with Bhoomi Poojan, Nagar Parikrama and hoisting of National Flag in an impressive function.
The event was held under the overall supervision of Chairmanship of S. Jawahar Singh and was sponsored by various social and religious organizations.
The title of Rustam-e-Baisakhi was won by Sukhvinder of Gurdaspur and Manna of Chandigarh emerged as runners-up.
Meanwhile, Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh Chib the ace Boxer who had won bronze Medal in 2016 Macau Games ,Silver in the National Games and recently participated in sporting event at China ,a resident of RS Pura Satraiyan Village, was honoured by RS Pura Indian Style Wrestling Association and Baisakhi Committee on the occasion.
The prominent persons who were present during the dual event included SDM RS Pura Susheel Kumar, Tehsildaar RS Pura, SDPO RS Pura, EO RS Pura, BDO RS Pura, Hemraj Khajuria, Balkar Singh Pehalwan, the committee members S Jawahar Singh, Manmohan Choudhary, Inder Sudan, Manni Choudhary besides other prominent persons.
