MOSCOW, Dec 28: Russia detected 14 foreign aircraft carrying out reconnaissance activities near the Russian border, a weekly infographic published by the Russian Armed Forces’ official newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda showed on Friday.
Russian combat planes had been scrambled three times to intercept the foreign jets, the outlet added.
The foreign aircraft were successfully prevented from crossing the Russian border, according to the newspaper.
