Russia partner country for IESS

CHENNAI, Feb 23:   Russia will be partner country for the International Engineering Sourcing Show (IESS) 2017 scheduled here next month.
“This year Russian Federation received the honorary status of IESS Partner Country for the first time,” a release from the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade said.
IESS 2017 is scheduled from March 16-18 at the Chennai Trade Centre.
A joint national exposition will presented by the Ministry with leading Russian companies having “long-standing contacts” with those in India as well as by small and medium-sized businesses showcasing innovative products and developments, it said.
“The official Russian delegation is headed by Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation,” besides others such as Deputy Governor and Heads of Ministries of Sverdlovsk region and Deputy Chairman of the Moscow Region Government, it said.
Various firms including Russia’s ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation and Scientific and Production Company DOK, LTD will present ‘individual exposures,’ it said.
IESS was first held in 2012 and “today it is one of the most prestigious and successful exhibitions in the South Asian region, characterized by a broad range of high-tech products that are annually exhibited by more than 400 participants from more than 55 countries from around the world,” the release said.
