JAMMU, Jan 12: Rural Ration Dealers Association, District Jammu held a meeting under the chairmanship of Ajay Kumar Gupta, here and discussed their problems.
While speaking, Gupta said that the FCS and CA Department charges Rs 7 for empty bag from the ration dealers for which FCI charges nothing from department.
He added that the Minister as well as Director, FCS & CA Department announced several times in meetings as well as in seminars that the commission of ration will be paid after two months to the dealer, but dealers have not received even a penny from department since last 18 months.
“Rural ration dealers have to pay the cost of ration, carriage charges of ration, unloading, shop rent, electricity bill etc in advance and it is very difficult for them to survive without any earning as they have to spend everything from their pocket”, he added.
On behalf of all the rural ration dealers, Gupta requested Minister for FCS & CA Department and Director, FCS & CA Department to release their pending commission and also requested him to look into their issues.
He appealed to the ration dealers of district of District Jammu to assemble at Baba Kailakh Nath ji Temple, Thathar on January 16 at 12 noon for further plans.
