Rs 894 cr disbursed for damaged houses, Rs 64.30 cr to Kashmir traders

JAMMU, Mar 26: Governor N.N. Vohra today reviewed disbursement of relief to traders in Kashmir valley.
As per the report received from the office of the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Rs. 64.30 crore was disbursed to 25,103 beneficiaries by the Dy. Commissioners till today.
Disbursed relief includes: Rs. 0.60 crore to 388 beneficiaries in Baramulla; Rs.2.60 crore to 563 beneficiaries in Bandipora; Rs.8.35crore to 3150 beneficiaries in Budgam; Rs.5.50 crore to 1923 beneficiaries in Pulwama; Rs.0.26 crore to 233 beneficiaries in Shopian; Rs.10.82 crore to 5360 beneficiaries in Anantnag; Rs. 3.67 crore to 1168 beneficiaries in Kulgam; and Rs. 32.50 crore to 12,318 beneficiaries in Srinagar.
The Raj Bhawan spokesperson stated that the Governor has directed the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, to expedite disbursement of relief to the traders.
Meanwhile, Rs. 894 crore of financial assistance has been disbursed under Prime Minister’s Reconstruction Plan to 1,47,854 flood affected persons, by the concerned Deputy Commissioners.
Relief disbursed to the victims of flood damaged houses till date is: Rs. 409.37 crore to 62,242 cases in Srinagar district; Rs. 2.24 crore to 487 cases in Samba district; Rs. 0.81 crore to 411 cases in Ganderbal district;  Rs 78.13 crore to 11,449 cases in Budgam district; Rs. 53.49 crore to 2,829 cases in Pulwama district; Rs. 96.64 crore to 13,914 cases in Anantnag district; Rs 31.55 crore to 5,393 cases in Bandipora; Rs.35.12 crore  to 8,440 cases in Baramulla district; Rs 35.84 crore to 8,181 cases in Rajouri; Rs.12.98 to 2537 cases in Udhampur; Rs.7.26 crore to 1,834 cases in Ramban district; Rs.2.99 crore to 1,135 cases in Kishtwar district; Rs.2.99 crore to 1,311 cases in Doda district; Rs. 7.28 crore to 1,251 cases in Shopian district; Rs.19.09 crore to 3,275 cases in Kulgam district; Rs.0.21 crore to 89 cases in Kupwara district; Rs.47.13 crore to 11,787 cases in Jammu district; Rs. 26.47 crore to 5,094 cases in Reasi district; Rs 4.35 crore to 425 cases in Kathua district; and Rs.20.68 crore to 5,770 cases in Poonch district.
The disbursement of additional financial assistance began on March 14, 2016 and funds are being transferred electronically to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries by the concerned Deputy Commissioners. The Governor has directed that the disbursement of additional financial assistance to the flood affected households should be completed on a time bound basis.
