JAMMU, June 29: J&K State Integration and Public Relation Society organized a deliberation on the topic “Role of PR in developing societal behaviour”, here today.
Minister of State for Information, Culture and Education, Priya Sethi, was the chief guest on the occasion while Dinesh Gupta, Chairman Citizen Cooperative Bank, Jammu, presided over the function.
Priya Sethi felicitated S Narinder Singh, ex Director Information; O P Sharma, retired State Information Officer; Vinay Thusoo, PRO Jammu University; Anil Sharma, PRO J&K Bank Ltd and Rajan Badyal, PRO SMVDU for their contribution and exemplary work in the field of Public Relations.
Priya Sethi said that the services of this JKIPRS shall be utilized to work closely with public relation practitioners to promote and seek exchange of ideas, experiences and information for fostering the study and research of public.
Yudhvir Sethi, senior BJP leader and Dinesh Gupta also addressed the gathering.
Earlier, Anil Padha, Chairman JKIPRS, gave a brief detail about J&K State Integration and Public Relation Society which he said has been formed to promote recognition of Public relations as a profession.
PROs of Jammu and Kashmir Bank Ltd., SMVDU and Jammu University also deliberated on the subject topic.
All the speakers laid emphasis on the importance of PR in shaping our society. They highlighted the fact that under the present circumstances, PR professionals have to come forward and utilize their professional skills in developing a clean and developed society.
Vote of thanks was delivered by J S Chouhan, vice chairman JKIPRS and concluding remarks were made by Anil Padha.
Bouquets were presented by Vipin Sharma and the event was anchored by Ravi Kant Sharma.
