JAMMU, Nov 15: Rohit Verma, well-known painter of the State has been invited by Lalit Kala Akademi New Delhi to represent J&K in National Painters Camp to be organized in collaboration with Director Nominee for Fine Arts Association and Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussorie from November 18 to 23.
Rohit is recipient of Gold medal from lMFA, Jammu University in BFA examination and presently a teaching faculty there. He did his Masters in Fine Arts from College of Arts and Crafts Lucknow University. He has already been participated in prestigious similar 46 painters camp across the country in addition to many group shows and 3 solo shows. J&K Government has conferred him two times State Awards and four times Certificate of Merits.
He bagged Junior Fellowship and National Scholarship from Department of Culture, Government of India Rasa Javedani Literary Memorial Award as art critic.
