JAMMU, Sept 2: Indian Revenue Service (IRS) Officer Rohit Mehra today took over as new Joint Commissioner of Income Tax Range 1, 2 and 3 J&K.
He has replaced R K Kakar, who has been transferred and posted at Income Tax Office, New Delhi.
Mr Mehra originally hails from Amritsar and has done his masters in Political Science. He is from 2004 Civil Services batch. He has served in the State of Gujarat for most of his time in various capacities as ACIT, DCIT and JCIT. He has also served in Hisar (Haryana) for a short stint before being transferred to J&K.
