Soybean futures ease on global cues

NEW DELHI, Aug 23: Soybean prices came down by Rs 18 to Rs 3,309 per quintal in futures trade today on liquidation of holdings by the operators in line with subdued physical markets amid negative overseas cues.
Marketmen said, tracking bearish overseas trend and falling prices in the spot markets, investors opted to download their holdings, which reflected the downtick in soybean futures prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange platform, soybean delivery for November slipped by Rs 18 or 0.54 per cent to Rs 3,309 per quintal, with an open interest of 32,040 lots.
