RKJ organizes Poetic Symposium in Punjabi

JAMMU, Mar 30: Radio Kashmir Jammu (JKJ) capped an eventful March with a bouquet of fun and laughter packed in two hours long National Comic Poetic Symposium in Punjabi, here today.
Aptly entitled Thahake-Hasyan de Patakhe, the star studded event made all the audience go into splits of laughter with every poet.
The event was held in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages at K L Saigal Hall, here.
The event started with traditional lighting of the lamp by Station Director Radio Kashmir Jammu, V K Sambyal, Additional Secretary J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages, Dr Arvinder Singh Amn and Programme Executive Punjabi Programme, Nitish Arora.
Prominent humorous Punjabi poets from Punjab, Haryana and Jammu participated in this Symposium.
The poets who enthralled the audience with their poetry included, Jang Singh Fattar from Sangrur, Jagsir Singh from Muktsar, Jagjit Soofi from Ambala Cantt, Hari Singh Dilbar from Sirsa, Sewak Singh from Bhatinda, Lal Singh Lali from Jallandhar, Hardeep Dhillon from Abohar, Amarjit waraich and Paramjit Singh Virk from Patiala. The local poet Bhupinder Singh Bharghav’s poems also evoked huge round of applause from the audience.
Station Director RKJ, V K Sambyal presented vote of thanks.
