Revert back to Vedas

Swami Ramsarup Ji, Yogacharya

Flood is a common natural catastrophe. Be it flood of water or flood of variety of fatal diseases like AIDS, mental tensions, drug addiction, terrorism, corruption, disgrace and all sorts of humiliations inflicted on women, corruption infested politics etc. Just as trees get laden with new flowers every spring similarly flood of new social organizations and new politics leaders with newly floated political parties can be seen every season. Country is flooded by smuggling, crimes committed through sophisticated techniques, pollution, commercialization of cultivable land by building hotels, plazas, commercial buildings on it, foreign outfits, foreign language and foreign culture, religious faiths, casteism, poverty, pop music, vulgar movies and serials on T.V.
In addition to variety of these floods, one cannot help witnessing emergence of the grave flood of religious gurus who are posing serious threat to the country nowadays. For the last 70 years, there have been several derelictions  from Gurugaddis or the self made empires of most of the Gurus and their figures, branches and sub-branches are quite alarming.
Flood of any nature is fatal and leaves behind a heart rendering tale of devastation and destruction. Reconstruction of society becomes quite difficult later on, the loss caused being irreparable. Science and mathematics create hypothesis on some definite fundamentals which leads to further progress but floods violate all principles, trespass all boundaries and where ever they proceed, they are accompanied by devastation. Floods are difficult to be controlled.
It is an open fact that mostly the present saints indulge in misleading public, imposing their will on them and propounding hollow concept of deeds, blind faith, ostentatious attitude and under the garb of this illusion pursue the business of extracting money from public. Just like advocates and doctors, most of the religious gurus charge high fees for their religious discourse whereas study of Mahabharat, Valmiki Ramayan and Vedic culture proves that Rishi-munis did farming, reared cows and accepted “Bhiksha” from just three houses, which was collected by Brahmacharis and these meagre/humble means were used to maintain themselves as well as members of Gurukul including children of king and public. Study of Vedic culture also depicts that Rishi-munis of ancient times preferred to live in seclusion, wearing simplest clothes, eating simplest food with limited resources of life, following the principle-
“Simple living- High thinking”
These Rishi-Munis had complete knowledge of vedas and yoga philosophy. Though they appeared poor or fakeers yet their divine blessings cured public of so many ills and removed their sufferings, elevated people to gain riches of life with all happiness.
When the question arises about Rishi-Munis then we’ll have to understand that the said title is awarded by God Himself, to those who after studying vedas, doing hard practice of Ashtang Yog Philosophy, controlling their senses and perceptions, becoming impartial, adopting truth etc, have realized God as well as vedas within them (Rigved mantra 10/125/5 refers).
Meanwhile, it should also be known that Rigved mantra 3/56/1 declares that fundamental laws of Vedas are always unchangeable. So, to get salvation an aspirant will have to cross over the stages of vedic tapasya (austerity) as quoted above because there is no other way. So, the declaration of several modern so-called saints that they have attained salvation, have controlled their senses, perceptions, intellect and mind and that they are perfect gurus, is not understood, being self-made and against the Vedas.
Such saints create propaganda/ tricks etc., sometimes saying that Sri Ram and Shri Krishna adopted their gurus, so, Oh! People you must also adopt us as your guru. Due to lack of knowledge of vedas, world is not aware of vedic truth that in the previous yugas neither the tradition of present so called saints existed nor did the sects originate.
At that time, only vedas philosophy was in vogue. So, Sri Ram, adopted Maharishi Vasishth as guru, who was learned of four vedas and did hard practice of Ashtang Yog.
Similarly, Shri Krishna Maharaj adopted guru named Sandeepani Rishi who also had the same said qualities of vedas.
It is astonishing that what is going on nowadays is that these  so called gurus never see the vedas nor practise Ashtang Yog and thus do not realize God and yet ask public to make them gurus.
You see, Yajurved smantra 19/39 states-“Punantu Ma Devjanaha,
Punantu Mansa dhiyaha”
Meaning:- Oh! learned, kindly, purify me by giving the special vedic knowledge and also purify my intellect. ‘Purify’ means purification of five senses, five perceptions, intellect, mind, therefore, thoughts and overcoming sensuality, anger, greed, pride etc. At this juncture, question to be indulged in such vices, does not arise.
So, God in vedas preaches that only a Rishi-Muni, Yogi, having above quoted status, are empowered to purify the intellect and man/woman by giving them the vedic knowledge and thus spreading peace, brotherhood, pure atmosphere and all other good qualities to the public.
Therefore the self-made knowledge which is against the vedas, will be of no use for the public. It will only fulfill the selfishness of so-called saints yet, we will have to consider and pay our full respect to all sects and paths. Vedas emphasis that first, guru should be learned of vedas and Ashtang Yog Philosophy by virtue of which he should have purified himself.  Keeping in view, the present situation where in the absence of eternal vedic knowledge, there is overall darkness of illusion, to save the public from these self-proclaimed gurus, who are against the Vedas, there is only one way that India will have to Revert back to Vedas.
