Revenue officials booked for making fraudulent entries in land records

JAMMU, Dec 29: The Vigilance Organization Jammu has booked officers and officials of Revenue Department for making fraudulent entries in the land records.
A case FIR No.31/2016 P/S VOJ,  has been registered under section  5 (1) (d) r/w 5(2) J&K Prevention of Corruption Act  2006 and Section 120-B RPC on the prima facie establishment of offences on the part of  Gh  Nabi Malik the then Tehsildar (S) R  S Pura,  Barita Ram,  the then Patwari Kharian,  Puran Chand,  the then Tehsildar Miran Sahib (now retired),  Babu Ram,  the then GQ (now retired) and S  Gurdeep Singh,  the then Patwari Kharia,  now GQ.
The accused Revenue officers/officials, by abusing their official positions and in active league with Shanker Dev (beneficiary)  of Bhour Camp,   made an entry of land measuring 05 kanals in Fard Partal and khasra Girdawari register in favour of the beneficiary as owner (Maroos) against the cultivating column of one Panjabu who was already allotted this land in 1965, while as the sons of Panjabu were shown as cultivators.
It was also revealed that during the settlement process taken up in the year 2000,  Khasra No. 354 of this land was re-numbered as 384 and in order to confer undue benefit upon  Shanker Dev,  a new Khasra No. 384/1 was created for the land measuring 05 Kanals 02 marlas shown under the possession of said Shanker Dev, while as only 10 marlas out of khasra No. 384 were sown under the cultivating possession of   Sham Lal and other sons of Panjabu whereas  actually the whole chunk of land measuring 05 Kanals 12 marlas was under the cultivating possession of Sham Lal and others.
Meanwhile, Vigilance Organi-zation Kashmir produced Challan against the Officers/Officials of Urban Local Bodies Pampore.
Challan of case FIR NO: 35/2009,  against accused public servants namely Shabir Ahmad Wani,   the then Executive Officer MC Pampore, Farooq Ahmad Bhat of Kadalbal Pampore, Abdul Rashid Peer of  Bagendar Pampore, Abdul Majid Bhat of  Khankahbagh Pampore and other 17 beneficiaries was produced in the Court of Additional Special Anti-corruption Judge Pulwama,  presided by  Parvaiz Hussain Kachroo.
The case was registered in compliance to the Directions of Court of Special Judge Anti Corruption on a complaint lodged by one Ab Hamid Wni of Khankah Bagh Pampore alleging that the officers/officials of Muncipal Committee Pampore and others without following the criterion laid down under the Central Govt Scheme VAMBAY (Valmiki Ambedkar Awas Yojna),   granted financial assistance to undeserving persons for construction of dwelling houses by way abusing their official positions.
The investigation of the case was concluded as proved against the accused and after the accord of Govt sanction, the challan of the case was produced.
