SAMBA, Feb 22: The Revenue Department Samba reclaimed 11 Kanals and 14 marlas of land at Village Bagla, Raya Morha Tehsil Vijaypur. The land bearing Khasra number 1536 was declared State land (Rakba Sarkar) vide Mutation No 8108 dated 23 December 2016 by SDM Vijaypur under Section 24 of Big Landed Estates Abolition Act. A Revenue Department handout issued here today said.
It said Tehsildar Vijaypur, Iqbal Singh had served notices to parties calling for removal of structure/material from the land, which they failed to comply with. Today, a team led by Tehsildar and SHO Vijaypur S.S Pathania, revenue staff and police officials visited the site and removed the kuccha structures built there and took possession of the State land.
