Retrieved from encroachers, Sat starts work on playground

JAMMU, Jan 16: With a view to promote potential amongst budding players and encouraging youth to take part in sports activities, former State President BJP and former Minister Sat Sharma (CA) started dressing and Chain Link fencing works on playground at Gole Gural area of Ward 32 (Jammu West).
Sharma was also accompanied by District President Ayodhya Gupta, Mandal President and Corporator Ward 12 Jeet Angral, Corporator Ward 32 Sat Pal Karlupia, JMC officials, locals and political activists of the area.
The developmental works will be done under the supervision of JMC (Jammu Municipal Corporation) at an estimated cost of Rs 17.58 lakh and the funds were approved under the additional budget of the former MLA approved in the District Development Board Meeting which was held under the chairmanship of then Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that it is indeed an important day for locals especially youngsters that works for dressing and Chain Link fencing on playground has been started which was encroached by ‘land mafia’ sometimes back and after inhabitants of the area approached him when he was sitting member of Legislative Assembly, he sought intervention of then DC and other officials who also assisted a lot in getting the land back from the ‘Mafia’.
He said such location is already being used by thousands of inhabitants including locals of the Ward and other adjoining wards especially youngsters who come here daily for playing various sports. He said this playground is fully dedicated to young brigade who has a great potential of taking our nation to great heights.
Ayodhya Gupta, Jeet Angral and Sat Pal Karlupia thanked the Former MLA Jammu West for taking up the works on the playground.
District General Secretary Rajesh Gupta, Mandal General Secretary Keshav Chopra, Rahul Mehra, Rajesh Saini, Lovely Singh, Arun, Kiran Wali, PK Bhat, Pala Ram, Geeta Sodhi, Jyoti, Baba Pawan, Lovekesh Gondi, Vinod, Raju Saini, Kaka Saini, Dr ML Raina, Saransh Verma, Ramesh Kumar and others were also present.
