Retirees given warm farewell

JAMMU, Sept 30: S Matinder Singh, District Agriculture Officer, Jammu, Ramesh Kumar Bhagat, Assistant Soil Survey Officer, Jammu and Ravinder Singh Manhas, Subject Matter Specialist-III superannuated today after serving more than 33 years service in various capacities in the Agriculture Production Department.
The Directorate of Agriculture gave a affectionate, warm and graceful farewell in the jam packed Auditorium of Krishi Bhawan today. The hallmark of the event was the presentation of bouquets and mementoes where office bearers of different associations of the department were present.
Director Agriculture, Jammu Hari Krishan Razdan appreciated the sincerity, dedication and devotion in working of the outgoing officers and listed their efforts in achieving the various targets in department during their tenure. He also extended best wishes to the officers and officials of the department retiring from other subordinate and districts  who included Jugal Kishore Gupta, District Agriculture Officer, Om Parkash Sharma, Agriculture Extension Officer, Nowshera, Naseeb Singh, JAEO, Doda, Yudvir Singh, JAEO, Samba, Suresh Kumar Jogi, JAEO, Doda, K K Rishi, JAEO, Ramban, Jawahar Lal, Field Assistant, Ashok Kumar Gupta, Field Assistant, Samba, Abdul Gafoor, Field Assistant, Ramban and Vakil Singh, PP Operator, Samba.
Razdan praised retiring staff and officers for rendering best possible services who have always remained connected with the farmers at grass root levels while working in various wings and sections of the department in different districts of the State. S S Lakhanpuria, Joint Director of Agriculture (Extension), K S Sambyal, Joint Director of Agriculture (Inputs), Bulesh Zutshi Joint, Director of Agriculture (SLUB) besides others also spoke on this occasion.
Sukhdev Singh, Assistant Director, Youth Services and Sports, P&E Jammu, retired today on superannuation after serving in the department for 43 years with dedication and honesty. A grand function was held to bid him farewell by the officers and staff of the department. All wished him a happy and healthy post retirement life.
Shyam Lal Sharma, Head Assistant, PHE Division Reasi of Public Health Engineering Department was accorded a warm and affectionate farewell on his superannuation after rendering 38 years of services to the department. Executive Engineer P P Arora complimented Shyam Lal Sharma for his sincere and dedicated services to the department. He also wished him good health and happy prosperous future life. President, Employees Association Munshi Ram also wished himwell.
Subash Chander Sharma, Senior Transmission Supervisor, at UNI’s Jammu Bureau office was today accorded a warm farewell in a simple function on attaining superannuation after rendering over 39 years of dedicated service in country’s premier news agency.
Bureau Head, Jammu Bureau, Vishal Bharti, hailed Sharma for his dedication and honesty for the job and termed him a person with varied capabilities. He also wished him healthy post-retirement life. Other Staff members Bishan Singh Manhas, Karan Singh Bhau and Suraj Prakash also extended their good wishes to Subash Chander.
