Retirees given warm farewell

JAMMU, Feb 28:  A grand farewell was accorded to Er R S Sodhi on his superannuation. On this occasion a memento was presented by Director Fire and Emergency services J&K, R K Hak and Joint Director R T Dubey along with staff of Directorate General, Tej Lal Raina Accounts officer, Mohd Maqbool Thoker, Administrative  Officer, C K Peshin, I/C Deputy Director Jammu, P K Bhat Assistant Director Command Udhumpur and Ramban, G L Pandita Assistant Director Doda Kishtwar and Medical Officer Jammu presented garlands to the retiree. Guard of honor was also presented.
A touching farewell function was organized in the Directorate of Employment on the retirement of Rattan Lal Bamotra, Section Officer on attaining the age of superannuation today.
The function was held under the Chairmanship of Anu Behl, Joint Director Employment, Jammu (I/C Director Employment) and was attended by all the Officers/officials.
The speakers wished a happy, prosperous and healthy post retirement life to the retired colleague.
Surinder Dhar, Subject Matter Specialist (SMS), Sub-Division Marh, Jammu was given a warm send off here today on his retirement from Government service in the Department of Agriculture. A K Malhotra, Director Agriculture Jammu, on the occasion complimented Dhar for rendering dedicated and unblemished service and also wished him a very happy and prosperous post retirement life.
SKUAST-NTEA-J accorded emotive and warm farewell to Sharief Mohd, Assistant Manager Estates Division and Tara Chand, Gardner, Div of Sericulture on their superannuation after rendering distinguished services in their respective fields in Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-Jammu. Dr J P Sharma Director Research, Dr R S Risam Director Extension, Dr R K Arora, Assoc. Director Extension were the dignitaries present on this occasion. PDK Uppal, President (Adhoc) along with his executive team,  SKUAST-NTEA-J lauded Sharief Mohd and Tara Chand’s contributions and their struggle for laying the foundation of SKUAST-J. A similar function was also organized at Division of Sericulture, Udheywala campus in view of retirement of Tara Chand.
A warm farewell was given to the officers of District Police Jammu on their superannuation, by the Jammu Police. SSP Jammu Dr Sunil Gupta, IPS, SP Hqrs, Romesh Chander Kotwal, DySP DAR Gourav Mahajan, Line Officer DPL Jammu and other staff members wished them for a happy and prosperous future life. At last each retiree was honored with a cheque of Rs. 50,000/- as retirement gift (out of Police Welfare Fund).
The retirees were SI Rajinder Singh R/o Pranu Tehsil Bhaderwah Distt Doda; SI Uttam  Raj R/o Karsari Tehsil Bhaderwah Distt Doda; SI Kuldeep Raj R/o Rehal Tehsil Bishnah Distt Jammu; ASI Daya Ram R/o Kanehri Chowki Choura Tehsil Akhnoor Distt Jammu; and ASI Kailash Kumari R/o Ashok Nagar, Satwari Tehsil & Distt Jammu.
Warm farewell was accorded to Fazal Hussain, Senior Assistant, w retired on attaining age of superannuation from Sheep Husbandry Department. Director Sheep Husbandry Dr Sant Ram wished the retiring official a happy and healthy post retirement life.
An employee of Estates Department, Jammu, Bua Ditta, who attained age of superannuation today was accorded a warm and affectionate farewell by the department. All wished him a happy and healthy life after retirement.
A touching farewell was given to Abdul Ahad Rather foreman STD Division Ganderbal (Kmr) on attaining his age of superannuation at a joint function organized by the employees belonging to various trade unions.
The meeting was presided over by Abdul Ahad Rather while Mir Ghulam Rasool a veteran Trade Union leader of the State was guest of honour. The function was attended by Executive Engineer STD Ganderbal, Ghulam Ahmed Mir and Executive Engineer Electric Division Ganderbal and AEEs of two divisions besides Mohammed Shaban.
The speakers including Mir Ghulam Rasool threw light on contribution of Rather to trade Union movement in the State and wished him a happy post retirement life.
