SAMBA, Nov 20: All Jammu and Kashmir Retired Police Personnel Forum (AJKRPPF) staged a protest demonstration against the Government in support of their pending demands at Vijaypur in district in Samba today.
The protest was held under the presidentship of Raghubir Singh.
A large number of retired police personnel assembled in Block Ground, Vijaypur under the banner of the Forum. They raised slogan against the Government and alleged that the retired police personnel continued the protest against the Government in favour of their demands but the Government was not listening them.
They also said that the discrimination with J&K Retired Police in Pay anomaly under Government Order No. 229-F 2014, dated 17- 10-2014 still continues. The effect is being prospectively which means from the date of order whereas the effect should have been given from the year 1996 when the Pay Commission was implemented thought the State but only the Police Department was ignored.
Some of them have even expired; surviving strugglers should get the benefit and enhancement of Medical Allowances from Rs. 300 to Rs. 3000. The Forum also demanded that the Cashless Health Care Policy be introduced for police personal on the pattern of Army and other Para Military forces. In Police Hospital Rs. 5.00 is charged for OPD slip.
Among those present included vice president, Karnail Singh and Mohammad San, Uttam Singh general secretary, Jagdish Raj Sharma, Ashok Kumar, Naresh Samyal, Manohar Lal, Hem Raj, Mohinder Singh. Devi Dass, Sandl Singh, Jagdish Singh, Tirath Ram Sharma and Madan Lal.
