Retired employees raise demands

JAMMU, Mar 19: Forum of Retired Government Employees organized a meeting under the chairmanship of I.D Soni, Forum president.
Speakers in the meeting said that over eight months back they submitted their performa duly recognized by the AG and endorsed by the respective Heads of the Departments (HoDs) but till date they have not received revised PPOs while their other colleagues who submitted their performa at AG office much later have received the revised PPOs.
It was also pointed out here that there are certain widows and super-senior citizens who are residing in the most remote and backward areas and cannot approach their HoDs and so have been neglected.
The Forum appealed to the Government to authorize respective treasuries to settle the cases of such retirees too who could not submit their papers till date to A.G Office.
It was also resolved to approach the Governor for resumption of Mediclaim Health Insurance Policy which was rescinded earlier for the benefit of employees and retired employees immediately.
