JAMMU, Sept 4: A meeting of J&K Ex-Policemen League (JKEPL) District Jammu was held here under the chairmanship of K.S Sambyal, League President.
Speakers in the meeting demanded that the police department should come forward to help the retired cops in case they face serious ailments requiring costly treatments.
They also demanded on spot payment of Rs 10,000 to the family members of a retired cop in case of his/her death to meet the costs of last rites.
The retired cops said that they will meet the Advisor to the Governor to project their grievances.
The League also demanded that the DGP should take the issue of reviving SRO 458-P with the government as it takes care of issues of retired cops.
The meeting was attended by R.K Bali, P.R Sharma, Sagra Singh, Som Raj Dutta and others.
