JAMMU, Apr 24: All J&K SRTC Volunteer Retirement Employees’ Association has criticized the Government order No 103-F dated April, 10, 2013 and demanded the Government to make an amendment in the said order.
Addressing the meeting of the Association held here today, its president, Dev Raj Bali, warned the State Government of staging a dharna on May 10, 2013 if the amendment is not made in the said order till May 9.
“VRS employees have been suffering unnecessarily for last three years. They are protesting and holding dharnas for getting their dues, but their demands  fell into the deaf ears of SRTC management and the Finance Department remained mute spectators”, Bali said.
The Association also reiterated their other demands, which included clearance of dues of VRS employees, release 6th Pay Commission arrears to them with effect from Jan 1, 2006, 126 slabs of Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) with effect from 1999, pending arrears and time bound promotion.
