JAMMU, Feb 8: A deputation of All J&K ReT Teachers Forum today called on Officer on Special  Duty (OSD) to Chief Minister, Sadutt Hussain at Civil Secretariat here under the chairmanship of State president Vinod Sharma and discussed the grievances of ReT cadre.
While interacting, Vinod Sharma apprised the OSD that thousands of SSA teachers and masters in the State are without salaries for last 4 to 6 months and there is also a huge pendency in the form of pay arrears and these teachers are suffering badly. He also discussed the issue of regularisation of ReTs having degrees from out of State UGC recognised Universities,  Transfer policy in favour of regularised ReTs as per the judgment of High Court, inclusion of 5 years ReT period for seniority,  enhancement in the honorarium of ReTs to at least Rs 10000 per month, and provision of SRO 43 in favour of of ReTs during their 5 years ReT period and requested him for the early redress of these grievances.
The OSD after giving a patient hearing to the deputation,  assured to consider the genuine issues of ReTs including streamline of SSA salary and a comprehensive transfer policy in favour of Regularised ReTs at the earliest.
Others who were part of the deputation included Najam Jafri (State general secretary), Sukhdev Singh Sumbria (State chief coordinator), Rajesh Jamwal (provincial president), Sajad Malik (district president Doda) and Gulzabir Daing (district president Ramban.
