ReT Forum threatens protests if pending salary not released by Jan 10

SRINAGAR- Jan 3:  Jammu Kashmir Rehbar-e-Talim Teachers Forum has warned that if the salaries under SSA are not released by January 10, the ReTs will go on State vide protests and gherao the State Assembly.
The warning was issued during a meeting of state executive body members of Jammu Kashmir Rehbar -e- Taleem Teachers Forum (JKRETTF), which was held  at Srinagar under the chairmanship of its chairman Farooq Ahmed Tantary for highlighting various issues of the ReTs,  particularly unprecedented delay in release of the salary.
Tantary  said that first week of January has started but l the pending salaries of  five to six months of the teachers are not released yet.  “The negative behavior  and fool plying policies of the department and Government towards the ReT teachers will not be tolerated  at any cost,” he warned while pointing out that the Government had assured to release their salary by first week of January.
The Forum criticized the callous attitude of Government towards the ReTs and alleged that the Education Department was forcing them to  resort to agitational path for getting their salaries released.
The Forum also suggested the Government to streamline SSA salaries by transferring the funds into State head and demanded that necessary amendment  in this regard may be brought during the ongoing Budget session so the teachers can get the salaries on monthly bases in future.
The meeting was attended by Z D Beigh, Talib Hussian,  Assadullah Wani, Ab Muteen, Javaid Gul, Sayed Imtiyaz, Sheikh Parvaiz,  Khalid Rafiq, Bashir Ahmed,  Farooq Ahmed,  Intikhab Aalam,  Mushtaq Ahmed,  Muktiyar Ahmed  S Gull and others.
