ReT Forum holds convention, vows to fight against injustice

UDHAMPUR, Jan 17: Jammu Kashmir Rehbar- e- Taleem Teachers Forum (JKReTTF)  held one day convention here today  under the chairmanship of its district president Kuldeep Katoch. During the convention, Chief Education Officer Udhampur, J R Bhardwaj was present as chief guest while chairman of the Forum, F A Tantray and Sr vice chairman Bhupinder Singh were present as guests of honour.
In his address, the CEO appealed the teachers to improve education standards, especially in far flung areas. He assured the teachers that all their issues related with different Zonal Offices of Udhampur would be redressed on priority.
Chairman of the Forum, F A Tantray stressed upon the State Government to fulfill its promises made with them in past. He appealed the Government to release the salary and streamline the salary of SSA teachers, which was becoming a mental trauma for the thousands of Rehbar-e-Taleem teacher of the State. He warned the Government that if their issues are not solved soon, they will come on roads.
Vice chairman of the Forum, Bhupinder Singh also appealed the State Government to streamline salaries of ReTs working under SSA as Government has already assured to do the same. He stressed upon the concerned authorities to regularize all Education Volunteers Converted ReTs, surplus ReTs and ReTs, whose regularization files are already lying in the offices. He also appealed State Government to frame transfer policy in favour of ReTs and particularly for female ReTs, enhance the salary of ReTs from 3000 to 12000 etc.
Kuldeep Katoch appealed teachers of the cadre to remain united on a single platform for the welfare of ReTs.
