JAMMU, Apr 24: The residents of Raina Colony in Babliana area of this winter capital city have requested the authorities of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to provide landline connectivity to their locality.
Around 40-50 residents of the colony have urged the BSNL authorities to provide BSNL landline and broadband connectivity in the area as it is deprived of any sort of connectivity through BSNL.
“In the age when we are moving towards Digital India, the residents of Raina Colony have been deprived of basic landline and broadband facilities. We urge the BSNL authorities to immediately lay the cable so as to provide connectivity to our locality”, Sikander Pal Singh, a resident of the colony said.
The residents of the colony said that they applied for BSNL landline connection several times but their applications were rejected on the pretext that there was no cable in the area. The residents urged the General Manager, BSNL, Gautam Lal, to personally look into the issue and help redress their genuine demand.
