JAMMU, Jan 31: The residents of Kambal Danga and adjoining Panchayats held a protest under the chairmanship of Sarpanch of Panchayat Mand West Surjeet Singh.
The protestors raised slogans against Transport Commissioner and demanded decrease in passenger fare.
While speaking, Surjeet Singh said that the petrol and diesel prices have slashed manifold in the past six months, but the passenger fare are same as was earlier.
He demanded immediate decrease in the passenger fare for the convenience of the common masses.
Among others present were Sarpanch Subash Chander, Sarpanch Hoshiyar Singh, Sarpanch Joginder Sharma of Sansoo, Sarpanch Meem Singh of Badola, Bikram Singh, Vicky, Aslam Khan, Mohinder, Tara Chand, Sona and Manthal Lal.
