Repair Narloo-Tulibana road

Attention of the concerned authorities is drawn towards the dilapidated condition of Narloo-Tulibana road. Constructed 20 years ago, this road is quite important not only to people of this area but to pilgrims as well. These pilgrims visit to the holy shrine of Gari Devta and other adjoining places of religious importance located here. The 10 kms road often witnesses accidents-small and big. This road is a true picture of Government apathy and discrimination.
Hope, the concerned agencies would take cognizance of the horrible situation of this road at the earliest.

Blacktopping of Laxmi Nagar lane
It is to draw kind attention of the concerned authorities of ERA and JMC that almost a year back our lanes were dug up for laying severage pits and pipes including side connections. These were left as such unrepaired and without black-topping. The side drains were also damaged in the process and left unrepaired. Despite our repeated reminders to the concerned authorities nothing has been done todate.
While most of the lanes in the neighbourhood have been repaired and blacktopped or tiled, our lane in particular despite its deplorable condition  has been left out for reasons better known to the concerned authorities.
The MLA  of our area Satpal Sharma has been taking keen interest in getting works done in his constituency. For some reason he has not visited our area even once after his election. He is our last resort as we have failed to draw attention of the concerned authorities and hope he will come to our rescue in this urgent matter of public concern.

Make Siot district headquarter
Decentralisation of powers in democracy is a first requisite for all round progress and prosperity of the masses. Rajouri is above 80 kms one way from Sunderbani. Its distance extends more even from the other areas falling under this tehsil. The areas like Bambliya Uma and Kantha (near Shiv Khori Distt. Reasi) are 130 kms away from district headquarter Rajouri. Taryath area is about 90 kms from Rajouri. Formation of a district headquarter at Siot, suitable for the three tehsils, that is, Sunderbani, Kalakote and Nowshera is very much justified. Moreover, Siot is on the National Highway. With this, multiple problems, the masses face here, by being at a unmanageable distance from the Distt. headquarters (Rajouri), will be adequately ceased. Moreover, the demand for a district has since been long time. It is high time for the authorities to do the needful so that genuine grievances of the public, living in these tehsils are mitigated, creating situations where public resorts to agitations and bandhs cause abundant economic loss and create many more administrative and law and order problems for a Govt. Hope, appreciating the genuineness of the demand, the solution would be worked out at the earliest with the intervention of the D.C. Rajouri.

Make Paloura nallah flow clean
We want to bring in the notice of the JMC authorities the pathetic condition of the nallah flowing from Paloura to Anand Nagar Bohri. The nallah has become a source of nuisance for the people living near the nallah, as due to its deteriorating condition it is gradually turning into a great health hazard. It has become a dustbin as every sort of refuse is dumped into it, making it a  fertile ground for mosquitoes and other poisonous insects.
In case its condition does not improve, people living near it will have to look for safer places.
The JMC authorities are requested to pay attention to this problem as soon as possible.

Ranbir Canal in pathetic condition
Kind attention of the concerned authorities is drawn towards the pathetic condition of Ranbir Canal. Both human activity and administrative apathy is contributing to the slow closure of this prestigious canal which otherwise is the life line for agriculture and recreational activities in Jammu. It is a matter of great disappointment that on one hand every efforts is made for Swachh Bharat but on other hand such a prestigious project is ignored and no cleanliness drive is launched by the concerned department to keep it clean and even no repairs are being done. It is filled with sewerage to polythene bags and every person who tries to escape from anything waste at his home or office is throwing it in Ranbir Canal. It is virtually becoming waste dumping ground. There is a  single voice all over world to protect water bodies but over here we are hell bent to destroy them. I appeal to the Government to direct the concerned department to have a comprehensive audit/examination of this canal alongwith it’s tributaries and sub tributaries from its source to end and launch cleanliness drive immediately alongwith necessary repairs and stringent laws to save this canal.
