JAMMU, Mar 11: The Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF), has demanded release of salary of surplus teachers, master and lecturers and conduct of DPC of all cadres in education department.
In a meeting of the Forum held here today under the chairmanship of general secretary, Ganesh Khajuria, the members discussed the burning issues of the teaching fraternity. They expressed serious concern over the non-release of salaries of surplus teachers/ lectures. They also demanded conduct of DPC of all cadres in the Education department, adjustment of Masters who have obtained B.Ed degree from MANNU, IGNOU and Kashmir University and de-linkage of salary grants under SSA from State Budget to avoid long pendency of salaries.
The Forum sought intervention of Education minister Altaf Bukhari into the matter. Senior members Gopal Singh, Yog Raj Singh, Rajinder Gupta, Mohd Iqbal, Surat Singh, Darshan Sharma Subhash Sharma and Shanker Singh were also present in the meeting.
