SRINAGAR, Mar 5: Senior CPI (M) leader and MLA Kulgam, Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami has expressed serious concern over the plight of SSA teachers, who have not been paid salaries for past several months.
In a statement issued here today, Tarigami said that it is deplorable that this community has been put to sufferings and Government seems least bothered about their plight. How can they work for months together without salaries, he questioned and demanded immediate release of their salaries to enable them to shoulder their family responsibilities.
The CPI (M) leader urged upon the State Government to evolve a mechanism wherein, these teachers could get their salaries on time without any hassles and stressed on special budgetary provision to tackle this problem.
