It does not take State Government much time to enhance salary and other perks, privileges of State legislators. At that time there is no shortage of funds or other hurdles.
But when it comes to increasing salary of the State employees, there is shortage of funds and legal proceedures crop up at that very time. The Government never releases DA arrears on time to its employees. It has found an easy method of solving the cash crunch. It deposits these arrears in GP fund accounts of the employees and that too with certain restrictions.
Pensioners are the worst hit in this matter. The arrears are released that too after repeated pleas and protests. In short, the employees have to resort to this practice every time these arrears are released. The Government has never been generous enough to meet the demands without protests.
It is requested to the State Government to release the pending DA arrears, increase the medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 2500 and merge 100 percent DA in the basic pay of the employees.
