BHADERWAH, Aug 26: Former Member of Parliament and senior National Conference leader, Sheikh Abdul Rehman today demanded imposition of Governor’s rule in Jammu and Kashmir as the coalition PDP-BJP Government has lost people’s mandate.
“Coalition Government has lost people’s mandate due to its vision less policies, mis-governance from the day of its formation and today Kashmir unrest is also due to wrong polices of Late Mufti Mohd Sayeed and incumbent Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti,” he said while addressing a press conference, here today.
Sheikh Abdul Rehman also urged upon Central Government to bring flexibility in its stand and involve all people with different opinions for talks to restore normalcy in Kashmir.  “Bring in all stakeholders within the ambit of dialogue and arrive at a solution that is acceptable to all,” he said and added that peace would return to J&K in particular and South Asian region in general only after the Kashmir issue is treated as a “political issue” and India and Pakistan initiate peace talks to resolve it “permanently”.”
