Refined soya oil rises on spot demand

NEW DELHI, Apr 13: Refined soya oil prices inched up by 0.07 per cent to Rs 769 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators raised bets amid improved demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in April edged up by 55 paise, or 0.07 per cent, to Rs 769 per 10 kg with an open interest of 54,400 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in May was trading higher by 20 paise, or 0.03 per cent, to Rs 774.20 per 10 kg in 11,320 lots.
Analysts said, widening of positions by traders following an uptick in demand in the physical market against tight stocks position on fall in supplies from producing belts, led to a rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade. (PTI)
