Refined soya oil futures remain weak on lower demand

NEW DELHI, Apr 19: Refined soya oil prices eased further by 0.18 per cent to Rs 765 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators cut positions on the back of easing demand in the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in April declined by Rs 1.35, or 0.18 per cent, to Rs 765 per 10 kg with an open interest of 11,900 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in May contracts receded by 5 paise, or 0.01 per cent, to Rs 773.50 per 10 kg in 54,370 lots.

Analysts said, offloading of positions by participants due to tepid demand in the physical market against adequate stocks position on increased arrivals from producing belts influenced refined soya oil prices in futures trade. (PTI)
