Reach out to minorities with welfare schemes: Balbir

JAMMU, Mar 4: Making a fervent appeal to the BJP Minority Morcha leaders to reach remote and far -flung areas of the State, Jammu and Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes & Backward Classes Development Corporation Limited, Vice Chairperson, Balbir Ram Rattan asked them to educate the members belonging to the minorities category about welfare schemes of the Government at the Centre and in the State.
Speaking in a programme organized by Jammu West District BJP Minority Morcha at Mohalla Sultanpur in Janipur area of the city today, Balbir Ram,  said that socio-economic upliftment of the weaker sections is the prime motive  of both the Governments.
Balbir who was the chief guest, shared the welfare schemes of the Corporation and said that the Morcha leaders should devote time in making the people aware about the benefits of availing loan from the Corporation.
He also stressed upon them to get acquainted with the schemes of the Narendra Modi Government and the PDP-BJP coalition in Jammu and Kashmir and spare time to reach the areas where the members of the reserved categories are in large numbers or scattered, to help them in getting the financial assistance to set up own earning units and become self dependent instead of sitting idle and becoming burden on parents.
Balbir, who on this occasion was also joined by the Minority Morcha activists  extended greetings to the party leadership for its splendid victory in the North East states and said that it is the victory of the hard work of grassroot level workers under the guidance of national and State leadership.
Balbir also expressed his views on the journey of BJP after its birth in 1980 and said that the party has achieved the distinction of becoming most successful political organization in the shortest time.
BJP Minority Morcha State vice president S. Avtar Singh, State general secretary S. Gurdiyal Singh Bali, State secretary Haji Taj Khan, State publicity secretary S.Harpal Singh Bali, State secretary & Media incharge Assad Malik, Mahila Morcha State secretary, Rafia Malik, Minority Morcha district president, Javed Rana also addressed the gathering.
