Srinagar, Dec 26: Hundreds of daily wager employees working with Rural Development Department (RDD) today staged protests here in Srinagar and demanded regularisation of their services.

The protesting employees complained that they were not included in the recent list of 60,000 daily wagers who are to be regularised.
A protesting employee lamented that for last several years they had repeatedly approached the concerned departments for regularisation but their demands were unheard, “we have been running from pillar to post but our pleas have fallen on deaf ears”, he said.
He, however, threatened to intensify protests if their demands were not fulfilled, “we will hit streets along with our families if our demands are not fulfilled. “We appeal Government to kindly resolve our issues as early as possible,” he added.
