JAMMU, Dec 2: The Rural Development Department (RDD) has constituted a committee to look into the allegations leveled by Executive Engineer, REW Kathua against the officials of his Division regarding the construction of the works in the area.
The Commissioner Secretary, RDD, Mrs Nirmal Sharma said that the Director RDD, Jammu has constituted a Committee to probe the matter. When contacted the Director RDD Jammu, R K Bhat while confirming that he has constituted the Committee of officers to go through the allegations leveled by the Executive Engineer, REW, Kathua. He however said that being the head of the Division, the Executive Engineer has to ensure that works under construction in his Division are as per standard specification and he is empowered to take action against the defaulters.
The Executive Engineer in his complaint has alleged that some officers and officials of his division are hand in glove with each other in misappropriation of funds.
