RDA, NGEWA for reinstatement of Director SKIMS

JAMMU, Jan 10: Resident Doctors’ Association (RDA) and Non Gazetted Employees Welfare Association (NGEWA), SKIMS today demanded the Government to reinstate Director SKIMS with immediate effect.
In a joint meeting of both the associations held in Board Room, SKIMS, their representatives discussed the catastrophic situation at SKIMS arising due to the attachment of Director, SKIMS to GAD. The members unanimously condemned the step taken by Government.
Both the associations stressed upon the Government for early reinstatement of Director SKIMS and declared that they will continue their strike barring emergencies, Day Care Oncology and ICU services.
“Furthermore, NGEWA and all employees shall hold sit-in protest against sacking of Director SKIMS daily for 2 hours from 10 am to 12 noon”, the meeting announced. The meeting further said that if Director SKIMS is not reinstated with immediate effect with honour and dignity, RDA shall withdraw from emergencies as well while NGEWA shall call for an indefinite strike.
